The year of records with over 1500 participants from 25 nations!
Today, Sunday 13 October, we gathered in Peschiera del Garda for the Granfondo Dorelan ReActive Cycling. The fourth edition with Dorelan ReActive as title sponsor has confirmed the continuity with the successes of past editions, confirming itself as the largest cycling event on the Veneto Lake Garda. This morning at 6:30 Piazza Betteloni already sees the first cyclists waiting to collect the race pack and bib, ready to enter the grid at 7:45 along Viale Cordigero. At the start, the athletes were welcomed by the Mayor of Peschiera del Garda Maria Orietta Gaiulli hey Delegated Councillors, Federico Bertini, Marketing and Communication Director – Dorelan and, finally, David Cassani, former coach of the Italian national team.
After the usual greetings, the 4th departedto edition of the Dorelan ReActive Cycling. The athletes pedaled between the coast and the hinterland of Lake Garda in Verona, enjoying breathtaking landscapes and a unique experience. An event also loved by foreign two-wheel enthusiasts, in fact participants come from over 25 countries to experience our extraordinary Garda on two wheels. The 95km long route with a difference in altitude of 1246m, this year too managed to surprise the athletes who overcame a great challenge: the fearsome Garda Wall, a 500-meter tear at 20% dependence.
Meanwhile, in Piazza Betteloni in Peschiera del Garda the main sponsors of the event colored and animated the historic center of the town. Industry brands such as the title sponsor Dorelan, Ekoi and Bemer exhibited high-quality products and news related to the world of cycling. After the first arrival of the Granfondo at 10:30, the cyclists went to the pasta party waiting for 14:00, where the most aggressive athletes went up on the stage of the Dorelan ReActive Cycling set up in Piazza Betteloni. During the awards ceremony the main guests of the event were interviewed during the live broadcast of TeleArena inside the Dorelan ReActive hospitality area: Philip Gavazzoni, Vice Mayor of Peschiera del Garda, Federico Loaded – Councillor Delegate for Sport, Federico Bertini – Marketing Director Dorelan, Emiliano Borgna – President of Acsi Cycling, Tazio Palvarini – CEO PM Sport And David Cassani – Former CT of the Italian National Team.
Having reached the end of this wonderful weekend, we thank all those who contributed to building Dorelan Reactive Cycling. A special thanks goes to the Prefecture of Verona, the Police Headquarters, the Municipal Administration for the trust they have given to the organizing team; to the police forces, the local police of the territory touched and to the great workforce of over 700 volunteers belonging to the Italian associations present for having supervised the route and favored the best level of safety for our participants. The institutions and associations have worked for an entire year creating a synergy that has made this event the largest event in the Veneto Lake Garda area.
